Terms and limits

Last updated 10 October 2026

Estimates, not guarantees

Solar Planner's times, solar and battery figures and savings are estimates based on weather forecasts and your past energy use. Weather forecasts can be wrong, especially on cloudy days, and your real bill depends on your supplier, meter and tariff. Use the suggestions as guidance only.

Your appliances and safety

Always follow your appliance maker's instructions. Don't leave appliances such as tumble dryers running unattended or overnight if the maker advises against it. Solar Planner doesn't control your appliances or your inverter.

Your inverter key

You choose to give the app your inverter's API key. Keep your phone locked. If you think the key has been seen by someone else, create a new key in your inverter maker's app; the old key stops working straight away.

Availability

The app depends on outside services (weather, postcode lookup and your inverter maker's cloud). If one of them is down or changes, parts of the app may stop working for a while. The app is provided as it is, without warranty.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for any cost, loss or damage that comes from using the suggestions. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law.
